This update is for SC, ST students, not for BC and EBC students The changes made in the latest update are as follows:
- The online application date for Bihar Post Matric Scholarship for SC, and ST students for session 2022-23 was 31.01.2023 which has now been extended to 28 February 2023.
- Now applicants can register using the newly launched mobile app along with the PMS portal to fill the application form.
- BC, EBC students were eagerly waiting for Bihar PMS Scholarship when their application starts. Finally, Government of Bihar has issued official notification on 25th May 2023 stating that Post Matric 2023 online application is going to start soon.
- An official notification regarding Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2023 has been issued to all the students who have not applied for the scholarship. As per this notification, BC and EBC students can now apply online for Bihar PMS Scholarship 2023 on PMS portal pmsonline.bih.nic.in from 15.12.2023. Application process will continue till 31.12.2023.

Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2023-24 – Recent Updates
The official notification regarding Bihar Post Matric Scholarship has been issued on 15th August 2023 stating that the online application for the session 2023-24 will start from 16.08.2023 on the portal pmsonline.bih.nic.in portal and the last date of application is 30th September 2023.
Bihar Post Matric Scholarship applications for 2023-24 have been opened, but only applications from SC/ST students are being accepted. However, the online application for BC/EBC students is still closed. Although the deadline for SC/ST student applications is December 31, 2023, it is expected that the application for EBC and BC students for the 2023-24 session will likely be opened in 2024.

Students need to follow below steps to register for Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) for 2023 session.
- Visit the PMSOnline Post Matric Scholarship Portal.
- Click on New Registration.
- Choose your name, date of birth, email id, mobile number, your father’s name, and category.
- Now verify with OTP sent to the email id and mobile number.
- Now Enter your Aadhaar Card Number, Name, and click on Preview.
- Recheck your registration form and correct if there is any mistakes then finally click on Registration Here.

After successful registration, students will be provided with a User ID password. With the help of this user ID and password, you have to login to the pmsonline.bih.nic.in portal and fill the application form for the scholarship. If you do not fill out the application correctly, your form may be canceled. Below we have shown how to fill the form.
- After registration go back to the login page, enter your user id, password, and captcha then click on login button.
- Now select the update option and enter your caste,sub-caste, and permanent address, and click on save.
- Go back to home page then select bank details option now enter bank name, IFSC code, account number and click on save.
- Now select your Certificate Details option and fill the residential, income, caste certificate details and click on save.
- Then select the Upload Image option and upload your photo.
- Now click on Apply for Scholarship option.
- Select whether your application is Fresh/Renewal then fill in the academic year, institution name, and course name you are pursuing.
