Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) Scholarship is offered by Kerala state government and its departments handling scholarships. The main objective of Kerala DCE Scholarship is to provide educational opportunities and financial support to eligible students. The DCE (Directorate of Collegiate Education) is introduced by Kerala Government on 2010.

Kerala DCE Scholarship 2023-24

The Department of Collegiate Education (DCE), Government of Kerala provides scholarships to students who are residents of Kerala. The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to students who wish to continue their education. The amount for the scholarship varies from scholarship to scholarship. It depends on the current standard in which students are studying. The amount will be transferred directly to student’s bank account through DBT method. There is a date for each scholarship. So it is not possible to tell the exact last date. Candidate must visit official portal for date and deadline of each scholarship. The applications for these scholarships generally start in the month of November and December and deadline will be in the month of December and January.

  • Step 2:

    Register with accurate details, go to (https://www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in/he_notifn/registration.php)

  • Step 3:

    Login with username and password created.

  • Step 4:

    Enter basic information, personal details, educational details etc.

  • Step 5:

    Read the guidelines carefully before applying

  • Step 6:

    Select type of scholarship wish to apply and enter information correctly

  • Step 7:

    Upload require documents.

  • Step 8:

  • Step 2: Click on “Awarded student List” from more menu (left side).
  • Step 3: Select the scholarship under “Scholarship type”.
  • Step 4: Choose your scholarship status: “Fresh” if you’re a first-time applicant or “Renewal” if you’re seeking a renewal.
  • Step 5: Enter State and District.
  • Step 6: Mention institution type and name.
  • Step 7: The results will display on screen with a list of names along with application status and scholarship status.

DCE Scholarship Renewal Process 2023-24

  • Log in to the DCE portal https://www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in.
  • Check the “Notification” from main menu.
  • Update scholarship with mandatory details.
  • Submit the renewal application with previously held exam mark sheet and other required documents.
  • Print the application for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for DCE Scholarship

Students need to have certain eligibility to get the scholarship. The eligibility criteria are not same for all scholarships. Students applies for DCE scholarship not only a permanent resident of Kerala and but also meet other eligibility criteria’s. Below are some other eligibility criteria mentioned as per scholarship.

1. ITC Fee Reimbursement Scholarship, Kerala

  • Student must belong to Minority community
  • Must pursuing ITI course
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 8 Lakh per annum

2. C H Muhammedkoya Scholarship, Kerala

  • Girl students that belong to converted Christian, Muslim, Latin or community.
  • Pursuing studies at graduation level or above.
  • Annual family income should not exceed Rs 8,00,000.
  • Last examination marks should not be less than 50%.

3. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship (APJAK), Kerala

  • Student must belong to Minority community
  • Studying in a government polytechnic in a merit seat
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 8 Lakh per annum

4. Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS), Kerala

  • Student must belong to Minority community
  • Studying in class 10, 12
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 8 Lakh per annum

5. Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS), Kerala

  • Student must belong to Minority community
  • Pursuing a nursing paramedical /diploma courses
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 8 Lakh per annum

6. CA/ICWA/CS Scholarship (IWCS), Kerala

  • Student must belong to Minority community
  • Pursuing CA/ICWA/CS courses  Last examination marks should not be less than 60%
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 8 Lakh per annum

7. District Merit Scholarship (DMS), Kerala

  • Pursuing studies at VHSC, ITI, and higher secondary or polytechnic course
  • Must have passed the SSLC examination conducted by the Examination Board, Kerala State with an ‘A’ plus grade in all subjects.

8. Kerala State Merit Scholarship

  • Studying in the first year of an undergraduate or postgraduate course in a government/aided college
  • Last examination marks should not be less than 50%
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 1 Lakh per annum

9. Sanskrit Scholarship (SSE), Kerala

  • Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses with Sanskrit as a subject

10. Music Fine Arts Scholarship (MFAS), Kerala

  • Studying in a Government Fine Arts College or Government Music College

11. Blind/PH Scholarship, Kerala

  • Scholarship is applicable to physically challenged/deaf/ blind students
  • Pursuing their studies in a government/aided Music Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges, Vocational/Higher Secondary/Higher Secondary schools.

12. Hindi Scholarship (HS), Kerala

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course

13. Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship (SJMS), Kerala

  • Students who are in the first year of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree program must belong to a BPL family
  • Last examination marks should not be less than 50%.

14. Post-Metric Scholarship (PMS) for Minorities, Kerala

  • Students who belong to minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains, and Buddhists)
  • Pursuing their studies from class 11 to Ph.D. level
  • Last examination marks should not be less than 50%
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 1 Lakh per annum

15. Central Sector Scholarship (CSS), Kerala

  • Must secure 80% in 12th Board examination
  • Pursuing regular degree courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level from institutions/colleges recognized by AICTE/UGC/MCI/DCI or any other regulatory authorities
  • Annual Income of family must not exceed 8 Lakh per annum

16. Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship, Kerala

  • Girl students that belong to BPL family and backward community.
  • Students who are in the first year of any HSC/VHSC/UG courses in a government/aided arts and science.
