EBC Scholarship 2023-24: Registration, Apply Online, Amount, Last Date

The Maharashtra Government provides Economically Backward Class EBC Scholarship to access higher education. This scholarship serves as a means to extend support to students who face financial problems in educational endeavors. The scholarship scheme is also recognized as “Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme.”

The scholarship will be given to those students whose family income is less, who are in below poverty line. To qualify for EBC certificate, it is very much required that the student must be a domicile in Maharashtra (i.e., he/she must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra).

EBC Scholarship 2023-24

Economically Backward Class (EBC) scholarship scheme is an open Merit Scholarship Program specially made for Maharashtra EBC students. This scholarship scheme is initiated by the Government of Maharashtra. The main objective of this scholarship scheme is to support economically feeble students to continue their education. The scheme encourages, motivates the students of Maharashtra State because it helps them financially.

The eligible candidate gets scholarship which includes complete tuition fees or maximum portion of fees. The students of Engineering, Medical, Diploma, Agriculture, Undergraduate, Post Graduate etc. can apply to EBC scholarship scheme. The students must be from economically backward class community. Students are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria’s, fill application form online, and upload mandatory documents in prescribed format & size.

Advantages of Maharashtra EBC Scholarship Scheme

The EBC Open Merit Scholarships helps mainly Hostel Girls, Female Day Scholars, Hostel Boys, and Male Day Scholars. The benefits differ for each category. The scholarship amount will be provided based on category and level of education.

Eligibility Criteria for EBC Scholarship 2023-24

The candidate must meet following eligibility criteria’s to get the EBC scholarship.

• The students must be from Economically Backward Class community.
• The students must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
• The students from Karnataka Border region gets chance to apply for this scholarship.
• The students Bank account must be linked with Aadhaar card.
• The students should not have applied or received any other scholarship for the present academic year.
• The students must be registered in the CAP (Common Admission Process).
• If the family income is less than 2.5 Lakhs rupees then no minimum percentage is required of previous year exam.
• If the family income is between 2.5 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs rupees then the students should have minimum 50% in previous year exam.
• Students must have gained admission to courses that are recognized and approved by authoritative bodies such as Government agencies, Universities, AICTE, PCI, COA, MCI, NCTE, and similar institutions, as stipulated by Dvara.

EBC Scholarship 2023-24: Registration

• Visit Official website https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in.
• Click on the link provided https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in/RegistrationLogin/RegistrationLogin for new applicant registration.
• Enter the required details such as Applicant name, Username, set Password, Email Id, Mobile number, captcha and click on Register button.  (Email verification (confirm through email), Mobile number verification; Aadhaar card verification will take place, through OTP method).
• Once Registration completes note down login credentional.

Login and Submit EBC Scholasrhip Application Form

To apply for Economically Backward Class (EBC) scholarship one must login with credentials. The login credentials got available during registration.

Once the application has been uploaded student can check their application status online.

Last date for EBC Scholarship 2023-24

EBC Scholarship Online Application (New/Renewal) for 2023-24 has started from 11th October 2023. Registration for EBC applications will close on 30 April 2024.
