MMVY Scholarship otherwise known as Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, is a state program run by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. This merit scholarship is available for those who have passed the 12th standard with 70% marks and are currently pursuing a postgraduate or professional course. Many of you may have recently enrolled for a course in the academic year 2023 and are eagerly waiting for its application for the 2023-24 session and finally online application of the MMVY scholarship is currently open for the session 2023-24.
To complete the MMVY scholarship application, students will first have to register on the official website and upload the required documents on the scholarship portal Scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in. Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana (MMVY Scholarship)
Medhavi Vidyarthi Scholarship Yojana is a government scheme run by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, available only for MP students. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has launched the Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana under which MMVY scholarships are awarded to meritorious students. This scholarship was introduced to encourage students to pursue higher education, under which the government pays tuition fees as an allowance.

How to apply for MMVY scholarship online?
Many of you have been admitted to college for the 2023-24 academic year and would like to apply for the MMVY scholarship. If you have enrolled under the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, the government will bear the expenses of your education. To apply online for this scholarship, students must first register on the official portal. Follow the steps below to do so:
MMVY Registration
- Step 1: Visit the mukhyamantri medhavi vidyarthi yojana portal.
- Step 2: Then go to Application for MMVY ONLY and click on “REGISTER FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24(FRESH/RENEWAL)“.
- Step 3: Enter your Name, Date of Birth, District, Category, Religion, Mobile Number, and Email ID.
- Step 4: Then enter the Samagra ID number and current address.
- Step 5: Fill in the captcha and click on Check Form Validation.
- Step 6: Preview the application form, and click on the Save Registration Details button.
- Step 7: After successful registration, you will get an Application ID and Password.
MMVY Portal Login
- Go to the MMVY scholarship portal, (scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in)
- Click on login, when the page opens enter username, password, and captcha then click on login button.
- When the dashboard is open, go to your profile and update it otherwise click on application photo and upload your photo.
- Select Update Aadhaar and enter your Aadhaar number then click on Update Details.
- Then update the 10th academic details like board name, year of passing, Roll number, and upload the mark sheet.
- Update 12th academic details like Board Name, Year of Passing then upload the Marksheet.
- Update JEE Mains /NEET / CLAT Rank.
- Then select Submit the application form.
How to fill MMVY application form?
Before filling out the online application form, the candidates are required to fill in all the details mentioned above properly. That is, first they have to register, then login and upload academic details and documents. Now we will show what information you need to provide to fill out the form.
- First, enter Academic Year, Institute / Course Code, Course Year / Admission Type, etc.
- Then enter the secondary board examination details.
- Now choose whether you are a hosteler or a day scholar.
- Enter your father’s/husband’s annual income, and mother’s occupation/annual income.
- Then click on Register/Update Application.
- Go to the dashboard, verify all the information, and if the information is entered correctly, lock the application.
- Finally, print the application form as proof.

Every student should track their application from time to time after submitting the application form. This will allow them to understand the current application status, whether their application has been verified or rejected. Follow the below steps to check the application status.

Visit the MMVY Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana Portal, i.e. www.scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in.
- Step 2
Then select the application from the top of the menu.
- Step 3
Now choose “Track your application status” from the drop-down menu.
- Step 4
Enter the required information such as your 7-digit application ID, academic year, etc.
- Step 5
Enter the captcha code shown on the display, then click on “Show My Application.”

Scroll down when the next page opens, you can check your current application and Payment Status
under Application Status Track Record.
How to check MMVY institute and course code?

MMVY Scholarship Courses and Amount
Under the mukhyamantri medhavi vidyarthi yojana, MMVY scholarships are given for UG / PG / Professional courses, and tuition fees and admission fees are distributed. Eligibility Criteria for MP Medhavi (MMVY) scholarship
Each student must fulfill the following Eligibility Criteria:
- The student must be a native resident of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
- The minimum educational qualification of the students should be a 12th pass with at least 70% marks (MP Board) or 85% or more (ICSE/CBSE) in the secondary board examination.
- The annual family income of the student should be less than Rs 600000.
- This scholarship is open to all students belonging to the General / EWS / SC / ST / OBC categories.
- Medical aspirants who have taken admission to Govt/Private MBBS / BDS courses through the NEET entrance exam are eligible.
- Engineering aspirants who have appeared in the JEE Mains entrance exam should have a rank of less than 1.5 lakhs.
- For law courses, aspirants must be admitted to the National Law University (NLU) through the merit list of the CLAT exam.

FAQ’s related to MMVY scholarship
Online application for mmvy scholarship is still open but the closing date has not been announced yet.
Students who are residents of MP state and have passed the 12th board examination with a minimum of 70% marks (from MP board) and 85% or more marks (from CBSE and ICSE board) are eligible.
The annual family income of the student should be 6 lakhs or less. But recently it was announced that those with annual income of Rs 8 lakh will also be eligible but it is not yet officially implemented.
