MYSY Scholarship is a government-sponsored program launched by the Education Department of Gujarat in 2016, for students from economically weaker backgrounds with an aim to provide them financial assistance. Under this scholarship, the students who have recently enrolled in any UG, PG, or undergraduate course will receive 2 lakh rupees or 50% of the tuition fee / 1200 rupees per month (for hostel students) and one time 5000 rupees for the purchase of books or study materials. MYSY Scholarship 2023-24
In order to encourage meritorious students, the Government of Gujarat has launched a program called Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, through which online applications for MYSY scholarships are accepted every year. This scholarship is specially offered to those students who have passed class 10/12 and are currently pursuing degree courses like Diploma Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy, B.com, BSc, BA, BCA, and BBA. By applying for the MYSY scholarship, one can receive a scholarship amount of up to 2 lakh rupees / 50% of the scholarship. This scholarship is available to students who have passed 10/12th with 80% marks and whose family annual income is under Rs 600000. In addition to these criteria, you must meet many more, which we will discuss shortly.
The online application for MYSY scholarship for the academic year 2023-24 started on 11 September 2023. The deadline for new and renewal applications is 13 March 2024. Students should complete Annexure 9 before proceeding with the online application.

Objective of Mukhymantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana
Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana also known as MYSY Scholarship, is a government-sponsored scheme that aims to provide financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged background families. Students are often forced to drop out of school or college due to lack of funds, even at a young age, they have to bear the responsibility of their families. In order to support these meritorious students, the Government of Gujarat has already launched MYSY scholarships so that students like them can easily pursue higher education. The main objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who are currently studying diploma courses, engineering, pharmacy courses, or medical courses.
Types of MYSY Scholarship
Under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, the Government of Gujarat grants three types of allowances to applicants who apply for the MYSY scholarship which are:
- Tuition Fee Allowance (50%)
- Hostel Allowance (for 10 months)
- Book/Material Allowance (One time only)

Online Apply for MYSY Scholarship Fresh Application
For MYSY Scholarship Online Application, Applicants first register as a Fresh application. Then, select New Registration and complete the student profile. After that, you must complete and submit the application form. The detailed procedure is as follows:
MYSY Scholarship Fresh Registration
- Step 1: First of all, applicants visit the official portal of the MYSY Scholarship.
- Step 2: Now, select the Fresh Application option under the Login / Registration 2023-24 section.
- Step 3: Once the login page opens, click on the If you have not registered plz, click for registration to create an account.
- Step 4: Now fill in some details such as Admission after 10/12, Board / University, 10/12 passing year, admission year, seat number, stream, enrollment number, mobile, etc.
- Step 5: Then click on the Get password button.
- Step 6: After successful registration, a password will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Login to Submit MYSY Scholarship Application
- Step 1: Go to the official website of the MYSY Scholarship (www.mysy.guj.nic.in).
- Step 2: Click on the Fresh application.
- Step 3: Enter your registration number, and password and click on login.
- Step 4: After that, select the Application.
- Step 5: Enter your basic information such as your name, father’s name, your Aadhaar number, family income, PAN number (father/mother)
- Step 6: Fill in your permanent address such as district, city/village, pin code, etc.
- Step 7: Enter your bank details such as IFSC code, bank name, account number, etc.

- Step 9: Finally, lock and submit the application.
MYSY 2023 – Renewal Process
- Applicants should visit the MYSY Portal.
- Then select Login/Registration for 2023-24.
- To log in, enter Admission After 10/12 / Diploma, Board / University, Passing Year, Application Number, Password, then click on Login.
- When the dashboard opens, click on the Renewal Application.
- Once the registration form is opened, fill in the bank details.
- Then enter the course fee details such as tuition fee / other fees.
- Go to Scan Documents, upload your Aadhaar Card / Fee Receipt, and other pending documents.
- Select Lock Application, then Lock your Application and print the Renewal Application form.
How to check MYSY Scholarship status?
After submitting the application form, each applicant should check the status of their application. By checking it you’ll be sure whether your application has been approved or not. Now we will discuss the correct way to check your application/payment status.
Steps to Follow

First of all, visit the MYSY Scholarship Portal (www.mysy.guj.nic.in).

Then click on the student status option.

Once the Student Parameters page opens, now select your application type, standard/board, passing year, and stream.

Then enter your seat number and password, enter the captcha that appears, and click on Get Student Details.

In the next tab, you’ll be able to check your MYSY status, such as student application and payment activity.
MYSY Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a resident of the state of Gujarat and must have passed the 10/12th examination from a recognized Board / Council in the state of Gujarat.
- The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination with a minimum of 80% or above marks.
- Applicants pursuing a Bachelor’s degree course must have passed 12 board examinations with a minimum of 80% in the Science / General stream.
- Applicant must be currently studying UG / PG / Graduation courses.
- Those who have taken admission in diploma to degree courses must have at least 65% marks in the final examination of the diploma.
- The annual family income of the applicant does not exceed Rs 6 lakh.
- Applicants must have obtained at least 50% marks in the last examination.
- You must have at least 75% attendance to renew your MYSY scholarship application.
