Nabanna Scholarship 2023: The Department of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Office, Government of West Bengal, has launched the Nabanna Scholarship, a state-sponsored program for deserving and underprivileged students. Students who secured at least 50% and maximum 60% marks in their Madhyamik (Class 10), Higher Secondary (Class 12) Examination from any accredited school in West Bengal or pursuing any Post Graduate or professional courses such as Diploma / B.E/ B.Tech / MBBS / Law / Nursing / Pharmacy, would receive Rs. 1000 annually. Earlier we used to fill Nabanna scholarship application offline, but from now on applicants can submit their applications online by visiting the West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund website. There is no deadline or last date for this scholarship, so you can submit your online application at any time.

Nabanna Scholarship 2023
The Government of West Bengal has introduced a number of programs for Madhyamik and HS pass students one of which is Nabanna Scholarship, otherwise known as Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Scholarship. It is a successful program run by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) of West Bengal that aims to provide financial incentives to students and increase the rate of education in the state. Students who have scored 50-60% marks in the Secondary/Higher Secondary examination and whose family income is under Rs 120000 per annum are eligible for this scholarship and receive financial assistance of Rs 10000 per year.

Nabanna Scholarship Application Form
In order To submit an application for the Nabanna scholarship, the applicant had to first download the PDF of the application form, fill it out and submit it to the Nabanna address by Speed Post. However, recently, the Government of West Bengal has launched a dedicated portal for applicants. How to Apply Online for Nabanna Scholarship 2023?
Many of you are interested in applying for the Nabanna Scholarship, but just so you know, from now on the application form for this scholarship will only be accepted online. You are no longer required to download the PDF form offline. First, go to the portal of your Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, register, and complete the form online. The detailed process is as follows:

First, go to the newly launched portal of Nabanna Scholarship, which is www.cmrf.wb.gov.in,
- Select Financial Aid:
Now, click on the Application for Financial Assistance For Education option.
- Read Instructions:
Now, read and follow all of the instructions carefully then click on I Agee.
- New Registration:
You are applying for the first time so you do not have an account, so you need to create one, click on Haven’t registered yet.
- Create Account:
Enter your mobile number and verify OTP, then set a new password and click on Sign up.
- Login to Dashboard:
On the login page, enter your registered mobile number, password, and captcha code and click on login.
- Fill Basic Details:
Enter basic information such as your name, father’s name, date of birth/age, district, pin code, family income, email, etc., then click submit.

Fill in the education course details such as current course, name of the board/university, last qualification examination (10/12) details, total marks, etc.
- Bank Information:
Enter your bank details such as bank name, account number, IFSC code, and then click submit.
- Upload Documents:
Upload the necessary documents such as a photograph, recommendation/income certificate, self-declaration, class 10 admit card, mark sheet, admission receipt copy, etc.
- Review and Submit Application:
Verify the documents you’ve uploaded and the details you’ve given, then click the submit button.
After the successful submission of your application, you will receive a reference ID, note it down then download and print the application form PDF.
Steps to check Nabanna Scholarship Status
After submitting the online application, you must check the status to find out if the application has been verified or not. Follow the steps below to check the status:
- Step 1: Visit the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund portal, @cmrf.wb.gov.in.
- Step 2: Under the Applicant Services menu. Select the Check Application Status option
- Step 3: Enter your registered mobile number then verify OTP, enter the captcha code, and click on Submit button.
- step 4: On the next page, you will be able to check your current application status.
Nabanna Scholarship New Portal
Earlier, the applications for the Nabanna scholarship were accepted completely offline. At that time, the official portal of Nabanna was www,wbcmo.gov.in /, but it was not possible to apply online from there. However, the West Bengal government has recently launched a portal for receiving online applications under the name of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. From now on, it will be the official portal of the Nabanna Scholarship. Students who want to apply for the scholarship can apply online through the official site of CMRF at www.cmrf.wb.gov.in.
Eligibility for Nabanna Scholarship
There are some eligibility criteria for this scholarship that he/she must meet which are as follows:
- Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal and must have proof of residence.
- After passing the Secondary or Higher Secondary Examination, the applicant must be pursuing an Undergraduate or graduation course which is recognized by any Board / Council / University of the State of West Bengal.
- Secured a minimum of 50% and above but not more than 60% marks in Secondary or Higher Secondary Examinations.
- Also scored 50% and above marks in Post Graduate and at the Graduation level but less than 53% marks in aggregate.
- The annual family income of the applicant should be within 1,20,000 / -.
- Have not applied for any State or Central Government scholarship/stipend in the same course/degree.
